Simon did come out and flatly said there were no plans to update Kylix
in 2004.  Yes, 2004, not 2003.  That's 14 full *additional* months with
no update.  He reminded us that K3 has only been out for just over a
year, and Borland has gone nearly two years between major updates
before.  One of the problems Linux folks face is the platform itself
evolves faster than Win32, with fewer backwards compatibility
guarantees.  So the slow Kylix update pace hurts us more than the Win32
users, even if it's objectively not much longer.  Simon was clear that
Kylix has not been abandoned - apparently they review it's status
fairly regularly, deciding when to allocate resources to make an
update.  He didn't commit to an update in 2005, but he at least said
they weren't completely ignoring it.
